Welcome to a new season at Mackie Cricket Club – 2021/22
We welcome you all to a great new cricket season at Mackie, Covid-willing.
We are very pleased to announce our organisational structure for this season. An important inclusion is the introduction of a Vice President – Female Cricket which emphasises our commitment to females, both Seniors and Juniors, at our club. It is great to see these professional people being prepared to assist in the running of our proud club.

Cricket news is that the Seniors will be fielding 5 ‘synthetic’ SECA teams (thanks Vikas & Yogi), the MCC Club XI ‘Turf’ Comp team will be reintroduced, and the Vets will continue, with planned social ‘Turf v Vets team games at seasons end. We have planned for a record 10 x junior teams this season, but with already an extra 3rd Rookies team in the making, we may have more. The women will go from strength to strength, with 2 x girls’ teams and 2 x women’s teams planned.
On the Social / Fundraising calendar, we’ve already marked down 11 events over the season. Our Mackie Lotto has already begun, along with many of our favourites and a few others. We also look forward to more frequent and diverse ‘social’ dinners.
