By signing your registration form and agreeing to play with Mackie Cricket Club you have also agreed to abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct, whether at training, games, official functions or other occasions representing the Club.
All players of Mackie Cricket Club must abide by Cricket Australia’s rules and policies applying to players.
As well, all members of Mackie Cricket Club must:
- Abide by the rules of the Victorian Cricket Association and any association the club is affiliated with (e.g. SECA, CSB/W, VCV).
- Do not argue with officials, Any disputes or complaints may only be addressed through coaches or match managers and addressed via official Club channels.
- Display self control at all times. Verbal abuse of officials, other players, or deliberately distracting or provoking a competitor is neither acceptable nor condoned.
- Work equally hard for yourself and your team.
- Recognise all good performances whether or not they are by your team members or others.
- Treat all members of the Club as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take advantage of another person.
- Co-operate with coaches, team managers, team mates and others.
- Be ready to start training at the appointed time. If unavailable or late for training, players are required to notify coaches as early as possible.
- Be appropriately dressed for training and for games.
- Not consume alcohol during games or training or present to play or train in an intoxicated state.
- Inform coaching staff or selection committee if you are unavailable to a play a minimum of three (3) days prior to the scheduled game.
- Report all injuries to your coach or team manager.
- Pay all fees and subs by the due date. Failure to do so will result in players not being available for selection.
- Carry out reasonable instructions from coaches, managers or Committee.
- No smoking in changing rooms, club rooms, training venues or field of play. Smoking is restricted to designated areas.
- Conduct themselves at ALL TIMES in a manner that would bring credit to the Club, especially when wearing Club uniform or other identification.
Any misconduct will be dealt with by the Committee or Selection Committee.
Penalties may be handed out to any member who is deemed to be in breach of the Club Code of Conduct.
