In line with several other clubs within SECA, and to provide our players and supporters with the full details of the current state of the game, we have decided to install an Electronic Scoreboard at Mackie. This is a major project for us, as in addition to keeping everyone at the ground up to date with the current score, it also gives us the opportunity to promote our sponsors and keep Mackie as a ground of choice for finals.

Our objective was that the total cost of the scoreboard would come from external sources. In that regard considerable work has been undertaken to secure grants to cover the basic cost of $50,127.

Many thanks to:

Sport and Recreation Victoria

Department of Industry, Innovation and Science – Stronger Communities Programme Round 4, and

Bendigo Bank, Caulfield Park Community Branch

In addition to the basic cost, there will be an estimated $5,000 to $6,000 for costs that arise depending on the circumstances re depth of concrete footings, electrical connection and trenching, council permits etc. Consequently, we invite all Life Members, past players and supporters, in the hope that you might be able to make a contribution to this project. In our accounts, we will show any donations as “Donations for Cost of Scoreboard”, and as a small show of appreciation we can show your name on the scoreboard periodically.

If it can assist, we can provide a Tax Invoice for sponsorship to enable you or your business to claim a Tax Deduction. It would be greatly appreciated if you could make a donation into our Bendigo Bank Account. Speak to Skip for details.
