Congrats to the Mackie Under 17s on their emphatic premiership win over the Glen Waverley Cougars, winning the Neil Daly Shield.
The Cougars enjoyed the best of conditions at their home, batting on a sunny Thursday evening to finish with 7-176cc off their 45 overs. Wicket takers were Shane Ho 2-28, Martinz 2-37, Jonty Wiseman 1-20, Higgins 2 catches, Stoupas & Caspersz 1 catch each, Caspersz & Hammond in an assisted run out.
In reply, Mackie batted in overcast and darkening conditions this evening (Friday) but overcame the Cougars score in the 38th over, 2-178 and won by 8 wickets. Batting details are yet to come.
