Mackie cricket club is pleased to confirm a further appointment to the off field setup for the upcoming season. We are very excited to confirm that Nipun Haggalla returns to Mackie for the first time since season 2019/20.
In addition to welcoming his on-field talents back to Mackie, we are also pleased to announce he will be an assistant coach this season. His on field performances speak for themselves with a batting average over 45 from his 10 innings in that previous ‘Mackie’ season. Further to his performance as a top order batsman, Nipun also contributed with 16 dismissals behind the stumps as wicketkeeper.
As a level 2 qualified coach, Nipun has a lot to offer across all levels of our club. We are looking forward to welcoming him back this season. The influence he will have across the grades will be a further important factor as we develop our Mackie juniors and prepare them to participate in senior cricket.
